The
History of Tamarack Wood Products
Tamarack
Wood Products lies nestled in the heart of rural Prince
Edward Island, Canada, near the picturesque village of Cardigan.
Formed in 1995 by John and Jocelyn Brothers, the company was founded
on the principles of community development and corporate citizenship.
Our goal, from day one, has been to provide our customers with high
quality furniture products while, at the same time, creating employment
in our community.
Since
our founding, we have rediscovered the properties of Tamarack,
a wood so durable it has been used to build some of the world's
largest sailing ships. After several years of product research
and development, we have successfully mastered the intricacies
involved in working with this amazing wood.
Today, we
still continue to operate out of our modern production facility
near Cardigan. We have expanded our operations since 1995 and
have built our own kiln to ensure our Tamarack is cured to perfection.
As always, we are committed to preserving our ties with our community
and to producing a world class product for our customers. We look
forward to serving you for many years to come.
